LaVision is a leading supplier of turnkey (laser) imaging systems, smart optical sensors, measurement technologies and software tools, with more than 33 years of experience. Since its founding, LaVision has grown to become the world’s leading supplier of customized measurements systems using optical techniques such as Laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF), Raman, Rayleigh and Mie Scattering, Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), Shadow Imagining and Digital Image Correlation (DIC).
LaVision was founded in 1989 in Göttingen, Germany. We are a privately owned company and have total command over the scientific direction and development. There are approx. 100 employees worldwide, with the majority located in the main facility in Germany and in offices in the U.K., France and the U.S.A.
The primary mission of the company is to provide photonic measurement solutions to the scientific and industrial markets. Since the beginning, LaVision has been consistently involved in the process of innovation and development of custom-tailored solutions for cutting edge research in the fields of:
Due to their non-intrusive nature our optical instruments offer unique capabilities for multi-parameter measurements with high spatial and temporal resolution. Whilst being turn-key, the systems are designed to provide a combination of easy and quick to use interface in one area of the software, plus a detailed expert user area. In this way inexperienced users can quickly get up and running with the systems, and those users with experience can delve into the depths of the code.
The LaVision team has extensive professional experience in laser and camera technology, imaging techniques for flow analysis, spectroscopy and digital image processing. We are cooperating with leading research institutions and companies around the globe to continue evolving and streamlining our product lines and serving worldwide markets.
Our customers value the level of knowledgeable and timely support we are able to offer: support that extends for the lifetime of the software licence, at zero cost to the user.
The unique multidisciplinary conference where industry and academics come together to discuss applications and solutions of optical measurement techniques.
