Vincent Jacobs is a dedicated researcher currently working on his PhD at the University of Antwerp, where he focuses on bituminous materials. He began his doctoral studies in November 2024 and is involved in the “CrasHBIT” project, which explores the understanding of cracking and healing processes in bituminous materials. This exciting research allows Vincent to apply the skills he developed during his studies in electromechanics to new innovations for bituminous materials..
Vincent completed his master’s degree also at the University of Antwerp. During his studies, Vincent learned various techniques and applications for testing materials, which he is now able to apply in his PhD research. For his master’s thesis, he researched natural fibers in composite materials, aiming to improve their strength and contribute to more sustainable engineering practices
The unique multidisciplinary conference where industry and academics come together to discuss applications and solutions of optical measurement techniques.
