Umit Arabul, PhD, a senior project leader at ASML Research, is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies for the next generation of optical metrology sensors, particularly the renowned Yield Star. With a background encompassing both academia and industry, Dr. Arabul has made contributions to various research endeavors that seek synergy between acoustics and optics. He actively fosters collaborations between academic and industrial stakeholders to drive innovation in optical metrology, aligning closely with the evolving demands of the semiconductor industry.
Dr. Arabul earned his Ph.D. from Eindhoven University of Technology in 2018, where his research focused on the biomedical applications of photoacoustic imaging. His passion for interdisciplinary exploration was ignited during his undergraduate studies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, which still motivates him to push the boundaries of technological innovation.
