Izhak Bucher
Field Of Expertise: Dynamics, Rotating Structures, Vibrations and Ultrasonic Acoustics

Izhak Bucher is a Mechanical Engineering professor at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.

After completing his PhD in 1993 he has spent 3 years as a post-doctoral researcher in the Dynamics section and Rolls-Royce UTC at the Imperial college London, UK. In 1996 he joined the Technion and he is the head of the Dynamics Laboratory and the Center for advanced manufacturing and Robotics.

His research is centered around dynamics, rotating structures, vibrations and ultrasonic acoustics for levitation and propulsion. He has been using laser vibrometers since 1994 for various types of measurements and identification in vibrating, rotating structures and recently acoustic tomography.
