David De Vocht is a PhD student at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Together with several industrial partners they are developing a new type of device to couple light in and out of photonic integrated circuits to enable miniaturized sensors on a single optical chip that have new functionality. Furthermore, David is the President of the Photonics Society of Eindhoven – a Student Chapter of Optica – and he co-founded the 632 nm Podcast to inspire young researchers about innovation.
