Schmid’s academic journey began at the Technical University Berlin, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics in 2014, investigating defect-induced Raman modes in carbon nanotubes for his thesis. He further advanced his studies with a Master of Science in Physics at the same institution in 2022, focusing on integrated photonic ring resonators for temperature measurement. His educational background and research experience reflect a consistent dedication to photonics and temperature measurement, setting a strong foundation for his work at PTB.
