Navid Hasheminejad
Field Of Expertise: optical measurement techniques

Navid Hasheminejad is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Faculty of Applied Engineering at the University of Antwerp.

Since October 2022, his research (BITuminous Mortars: an Accelerated testing APproach – BITMA²P) has been funded by the Junior postdoctoral fellowship of FWO (Het Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek – Vlaanderen). This project involves the development of novel accelerated testing procedures that use the full-field vibration response of the samples to estimate the complex modulus and fatigue properties of bituminous mortars.

Between 2020 and 2022, Navid worked as a postdoctoral researcher on a project funded by Industrial Research Fund (IOF). Navid received his PhD in January 2020 from the University of Antwerp. The title of his Ph.D. was “Characterization of the mechanical properties of asphalt mixtures using optical measurement techniques”. Prior to joining the University of Antwerp, he earned a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from KNTU (Tehran, Iran) and Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy), respectively.
