Theo Travers
Field Of Expertise: Fiber Optics

I am a postdoctoral researcher at TU Delft in the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, working in the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) group led by Professor Roger Groves. My research focuses on optical sensing technologies for hydrogen detection, leveraging my background in Optics and Photonics.

In addition, I am involved in the ‘Down to the Ground’ (DTTG) project, which explores cultural heritage through the use of optical techniques to study paintings, linking scientific findings to art history.

Previously, I completed my PhD in France, specializing in Non-Linear Microscopy. I also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Leiden University in Professor Michel Orrit’s group, where I studied tether-free protein manipulation using dielectrophoresis and iSCAT methods.
