Henrik Thomsen
Field Of Expertise: Laser Doppler Vibrometry

Henrik received a Ph.D. from ETH Zürich in 2021 specializing in elastic wave propagation and the realisation of “immersive experimentation”, a method linking physical and arbitrary virtual domains in the laboratory. As a PostDoc Henrik participated in research on wavefield focusing and energy harvesting using metasurfaces. Most recently, Henrik worked on advancing a digital twin-based technique for non-destructive evaluation of composite materials using guided waves. A Polytec 3D Laser Doppler Vibrometer has been central to all facets of his work.
