“I’m a PhD student in the Mesoscale Chemical Systems group at the University of Twente. End of 2019 I received my degree as Biomedical Engineer with a specialization in targeted drug (and gene) delivery and tissue engineering, and I started my PhD project in 2020, called project BuBble-Gun. Here, we’re working towards Needle-Free injections using microfluidic jets. In this multidisciplinary project, my final responsibility is elucidating the interaction between skin and jets. A real challenge here is to determine the impact force, and impact force dynamics of the microfluidic jets, as they fall either below the spatial or temporal resolution of commercial systems.”
